Pins & Needles offers a range of party packages to suit all tastes and sewing skill levels.

We bring all the materials and tools needed. Whether the party is taking place at your home or a different venue, all we need is a large table and enough chairs for the guests.

Choose from 3 tried and tested projects, which suit even absolute beginners. We also offer bespoke packages and projects for your party, so if there's something you'd like to include, just get in touch.

Parties cost £35 per child (or £30 per child for current school club members) with a minimum of 4 children. Guests will be entertained for up to 2 hours - usually around 90 minutes of sewing with a couple of short breaks for snacks and drinks - it's thirsty work, you know!

Does my child need to have any sewing experience?

No. We tailor the projects so that, regardless of ability level, every child gets to complete their project. More experienced sewists will be able to be more creative with their project, while beginners will stick closely to the instructions and guidance from the teacher.
Does my child need to bring anything to the club or workshop?

There's no need to bring anything. All materials and equipment will be supplied.
What if my child is ill on the day?

Please contact us as soon as possible to let us know. For workshops, we are happy to offer your child a catch-up workshop (subject to availability) or a 50% refund of the fee. For school clubs, we are unable to offer any catch-up sessions or refunds for any missed sessions due to illness.
What is your refund policy?

For school clubs, we only refund for missed sessions if we or the school cancel the whole session. We do not refund for missed sessions due to school trips or illness. Please see our Fees Policy for school clubs here For workshops, we require 7 days notice to cancel a workshop for a full refund. If it is less than 7 days until your workshop, we would be happy to offer an alternative workshop (subject to availability) at no extra cost or a 50% refund.
What if Pins & Needles cancels the workshop?

A full refund will be issued for any cancelled workshops or clubs.

What qualifications and certifications do your teachers hold?

All our teachers hold DBS enhanced checks and are first aid trained.
Who are the sewing parties for?

Our sewing parties are aimed at boys and girls aged 6-12 but we can tailor them to older children or teens.
How much is it?

£35 per child (or £30 if you are a current school club member) with a minimum of four children.
What does a party package include?

Are there any add-ons for packages?

Personalised project box as used during the party with mini sewing kit, scissors + thread - £10 extra per child (normally £12) Personalised party bag with a Make-at-home kit inside – £10 extra per child - choose one from our online shop Bespoke project creation – £5 extra per child Venue hire – Price dependent on venue
How long will the party last for?

2 hours, which normally means roughly 90 minutes of sewing broken up with a couple of short drink and snack breaks. Please allow an extra 15 minutes at the end for finishing off projects if needed.
Do I need to provide anything?

A large table to work on and a chair for every child. We bring everything else.
Whereabouts do you offer sewing parties?

Anywhere within a 10-mile radius of Teddington, TW11 0QH. Please contact us if you live further away and we can discuss additional travel costs.
What venues can you hold a sewing party in?

Anywhere you'd like! As long as we have a large table and chairs, we can get to work.
What's the maximum number of children for a party?

We find smaller groups of 6-8 children work best, but we can cater for up to 12 children, depending on the venue.
What projects are available as party projects?

At the moment we are offering 3 projects: Unicorn plushie Emoji cushion Cute doughnut If your child would like something different, get in touch – we're happy to create bespoke packages at an additional cost.
Will everyone finish their project?

That's the plan! We will be with them every step of way to make sure everyone has a completed project to take home. For anyone that doesn't finish, we will provide all the materials and tools needed for them to finish at home.
When do you arrive on the party day?

We arrive 20 minutes before the party begins.
How do I confirm a party booking?

We require a deposit of £50 to confirm the booking.
When do I pay the balance for the party?

Final payment is due on the day of the party paid via bank transfer. We do not charge for no-shows.
